Boulder Baked in the Arapahoe strip mall bakes its cookies to order, so the room fills with the smell of warm dough and the wait becomes part of the visit. The shop keeps a lineup of cupcakes in the cooler and a roll of brown paper on the wall with drawings, while regulars stop in for a Roma grilled cheese and a cup of soup. Gluten free versions of the cake and cookies are available. A simple elopement cookie cake ordered online was ready on time and photographed well, and a German chocolate birthday cake came out looking perfect.
