Gateway Buffet, set within the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu’s North Shore, is an enormous, warehouse-like dining hall arranged with dozens of food stations. Live musicians play throughout the meal, and the room is wrapped in a striking mural that diners describe as otherworldly. The buffet is entirely self-serve, with staff from the nearby university quickly clearing plates and keeping the space tidy.
