Golden Phoenix is a small, family-run Chinese spot nestled in a converted house, with a quiet, intimate dining room that feels more like a neighborhood diner than a standard restaurant. Two silenced, captioned TVs in opposite corners offer news for those who want to watch, while the whole family works together to keep the space comfortable. Most diners come for takeout, though the room remains a calm spot for a bite. The menu is famously broad, with dozens of choices, and loyal customers drive from hours away just to order their favorites.
