La Malaka Cafe sits in the corner of a quiet Cartagena street, a small, cozy room with a little terrace and parking right out front, where the open kitchen lets you watch the chefs at work. The vibe is vibrant and funky, the kind of homey spot where regulars stop by weekly and dogs are welcomed with a bowl of water. It gets busy, but the staff keeps things warm and organized while you settle in for brunch. Gluten free versions of the cake and brownies are available, and the display of homemade desserts is hard to pass up.
