In Koloa, Merriman's Kauai comes up often in diner reviews. Visitors bring up a view at sunset, a view from the tables and a laid-back room. Diners planning ahead mention staff who take time with questions, a reserve-ahead habit among regulars and birthday and celebration bookings. There is more than the menu: reviewers bring up live music, ingredients from nearby farms and ice cream.
