Ottavio St-Laurent on Marcel-Laurin draws diners with a spacious, calm room that carries a sixties-era atmosphere, from the red plates set on the tables to the easy, unhurried mood. Guests come for family dinners or birthdays and find a place where they can bring their own wine, with staff who are notably polite and welcoming to kids, even taking their orders directly. The bread and the pasta can be ordered in gluten free versions here, and the portions are generous enough that most leave with leftovers.
