The Apollo sits near the sea front with views over the harbour from its balcony and from tables by large open doors. Inside, the room is roomy and clean, with a well stocked bar, sports screens on the wall with the sound off, and enough space that tables are not crammed together. A visit works as a sit in meal or a takeout, served by a friendly, accommodating team that welcomes dogs and helps find suitable tables for wheelchair users and disabled guests. Diners repeatedly confirmed gluten free versions of the fish and chips are available here, too. It is an independent family run pub on the Yorkshire coast where visitors and locals alike can settle in after a day at the seaside.
