Wells Gray Inn sits right off the highway in Clearwater, a straightforward stop for travelers heading to Wells Gray Provincial Park or passing through on the road between Edmonton and Vancouver. The interior courtyard is a genuine draw, with barbecue grills for guests and space for dogs to stretch; on one stay, a bear even wandered past the parking lot. The restaurant is essentially part of the pub, where you can sit in a booth and watch the room come alive with keno machines, a pool table, and a mix of friendly staff and locals at the bar.
